Governors are working hard every day to grow the region's economy and create jobs. To continue to harness the opportunities and address the challenges of a transforming regional economy, the Midwest must better assess and organize itself, work to bring new capital to the region, form new global partnerships and tap the potential of our current under-employed workforce.

As a part of these efforts a regional website has been created to showcase educational and training opportunities available to potential students in the new energy economy. The website is: http://www.midwestpowerskills.net.

Through cooperative regional efforts, Midwestern states can continue to grow their economies and create jobs. Business plan competitions allow businesses and individuals the opportunities to get valuable seed funding to start, build or expand businesses in the region. Midwestern governors are committed to encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship that capitalized on the independent spirit of Midwesterners. A list of business plan competitions can be found here.
