Message from our chairAs chair of the Midwestern Governors Association and Governor of Ohio, I welcome you to the MGA’s Web site.

During my tenure as MGA chair, we will continue to build upon the strength and spirit of the Midwest. This year's agenda, Midwestern Jobs: Training Workers and Investing in Business for the New Energy Economy, will build on the strengths of our states and help us transition to the new energy economy. Specifically, I will focus on two objectives - increasing access to capital for small and mid-sized advanced energy companies, and helping workers take advantage of the economic opportunities created by these companies through expanded education and training efforts.

There is a growing national and global recognition that the Midwest is the best place to live, work, start a business, get an education and raise a family. Over the past several years, the MGA has built an impressive track record on improving regional efforts to capitalize on the opportunities of new energy to build our economy. The foundation has been laid, and now it is time to build upon it.

Thank you for visiting and please check back for updates.
